We are currently seeking a Detail-Oriented Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina . This is a key role that supports business development and sales by delivering accurate cost estimates, fostering client relationships, and contributing to our ongoing growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze construction drawings and specifications to determine project scope.

• Request, review, and verify pricing from material vendors and suppliers.

• Prepare detailed and timely cost estimates and client proposals.

• Perform quantity takeoffs using established company procedures.

• Collaborate with vendors to confirm pricing and product details.

• Communicate with clients to clarify scope, answer questions, and ensure alignment.

• Maintain documentation of project communications and decisions.

• Complete bid documentation, including checklists, summaries, and schedules.

• Assist in final bid presentations and support management as needed.

• Build and maintain strong relationships through client visits and industry networking events.

• Manage all related documentation (paper, digital, and software-based).

• Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as required.

• Prepare reports for internal use by staff or management.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and details.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of commercial construction processes and terminology.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong math and analytical skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in project management or field work, particularly in drywall, flooring, or specialty construction.

• Familiarity with digital takeoff tools and estimating software.

• Experience using Sage 100 software.

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related business field.
