The role
Job Overview
We are seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to expand our Bulk Reusable Transport Packaging (RTP) platform beyond traditional agriculture into new and adjacent markets. This role focuses on identifying, validating, and developing opportunities where reusable bulk plastic packaging can replace wood, metal, or single‑use solutions.
Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Product Development, and Marketing, this role will build a strategic pipeline of new applications and customers, helping bring scalable Bulk RTP solutions to market.
This position is eligible for our Sales Incentive Plan
Key Responsibilities
Market & Emerging Opportunity Development
Identify and evaluate non‑agriculture market opportunities for Bulk RTP across targeted sectors.
Prioritize opportunities in industries such as food processing, protein and poultry processing, industrial manufacturing, recycling, and automotive supply chains.
Conduct market research and industry analysis to uncover new Bulk RTP applications.
Pipeline & Customer Development
Generate, qualify, and advance a strategic pipeline of Bulk RTP opportunities.
Engage prospective customers, distributors, and industry partners to validate use cases and commercial potential.
Position Bulk RTP solutions to replace wood bins, metal containers, and single‑use packaging.
Product & Operational Alignment
Partner with Engineering and Operations to assess product fit, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility.
Support decisions related to production location, capacity, and operational readiness for new markets.
Contribute to new product and application development efforts.
Go‑to‑Market & Competitive Intelligence
Support go‑to‑market strategies, including product positioning, customer targeting, and commercialization plans.
Monitor competitive offerings, pricing trends, and emerging technologies in reusable and plastic packaging.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to align business development initiatives with company growth objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or market development within reusable transport packaging, plastics, or industrial packaging.
Strong understanding of bulk RTP applications and conversion opportunities from wood, metal, or single‑use packaging.
Proven ability to identify emerging markets and build strategic pipelines.
Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and product development.
Strong market analysis, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to operate independently while driving strategic growth initiatives.
Must be willing to travel up to 50%
