Director/Senior Director Supply Chain

Charlotte, NC

ISCs team of Manufacturing Recruiters is partnering with a thriving Medical Device company to identify an experienced Director of Supply Chain.

The Director of Supply Chain oversees the entire flow of goods within a company and manages core responsibilities such as developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, forecasting demand, optimizing inventory levels, coordinating logistics, and implementing supply chain improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on supply chain experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team
  • Proven experience in managing complex supply chains across multiple locations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve supply chain challenges
  • Expertise in inventory management systems and logistics software
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and forecast demand to optimize inventory levels.

Procurement Management:

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and quality control.

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Implement inventory management systems and forecasting tools.

Logistics Management:

  • Manage distribution center operations to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to meet delivery deadlines.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance.
  • Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals including planners, buyers, logistics coordinators, and inventory analysts.
