Bookkeeper - Contract Project-Based Cleanup

We are seeking a Contract Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting team to help drive this mission forward. As a Contract Bookkeeper, you will be part of an elite stable of bookkeepers who pick up large catch-up and clean-up projects, deliver closed books by deadline and ready to be handed off to monthly bookkeepers.

Areas of Responsibility
Take new messy clients and clean up their bookkeeping, streamline processes, connect bank feeds, update chart of accounts, then hand it off to teammate for regular monthly bookkeeping
Be comfortable working in the unknown, often with several years’ of backwork
Catch-Up and Cleanup KPIs:
6 months or less of cleanup : Delivered to client within 30 days of data received. Bookkeeper: 20 days. Review/Points to Clear: 10 days.
6-12 months of cleanup : Delivered to client within 60 days of data received.
Bookkeeper: 40 days. Review/Points to Clear: 20 days.
> 12 months of cleanup : Delivered to client within 90 days of data received.
Bookkeeper: 70 days. Review/Points to Clear: 20 days.

Qualifications and Experience
3+ years experience in accounting and bookkeeping
3+ years experience in QuickBooks Online
Double or Canopy experience a plus
Exposure to U.S. taxes a plus
Familiarity with a variety of software applications, such as Microsoft Office, RightTool, project management software, and Adobe, and the ability to quickly learn new programs.
Pay Range
- US : $20-30/hour depending on experience. Pay is designed to reward efficiency, adherence to deadlines, and accuracy and is based on a percentage of the overall fee.
- Overseas : High market rates, depending on experience. Pay is designed to reward efficiency, adherence to deadlines, and accuracy and is based on a percentage of the overall fee.
