Description of Work
Administrative Officer I This is a REPOST of position 60070615. Previous applicants MUST REAPPLY to be considered. This position reports to Franklin Correctional Center, located in Bunn, NC, Franklin County.- The responsibility of the Administrative Officer I is to assist with administering and managing the complete business and personnel management functions at Franklin Correctional Center a medium male facility.
- This position will have management and supervisory responsibility for budgets, accounting, personnel, canteen, clothes-house, mailroom and trust fund.
- This position will assign and monitor the work efforts of subordinate staff.
- This position will be responsible for the functions of planning and monitoring budgets, approval of expenditures, purchasing of supplies and equipment, inventories, establishment and monitoring of temporary employees and personal service contracts, fiscal audit functions, canteen, mailroom, and warehouse/clothes operations.
- This position will oversee the overall personnel operations to include hiring, benefits, timekeeping, Beacon and staff disciplinary actions.

- Documented experience in budgeting, accounting, purchasing, or human resources.
- Documented experience supervising or managing subordinate staff.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
