NP/PA Hospitalist Opportunity in Washington, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center, located in Washington, North Carolina are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with their established hospitalist team . Applicants with experience as a provider are preferred. New graduates will be considered but must have a strong healthcare background.

Washington, North Carolina is a quaint waterfront community offering an excellent work life balance. Combined with eastern North Carolinas mild climate and affordable cost of living, Washington is a great place for providers to call home.

Opportunity Highlights Include

• Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Growing 9-hospital healthcare system
• Established hospitalist program inclusive of 8 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers
• Full spectrum of specialty support including oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, OBGYN, orthopedics, behavioral health, pulmonology, critical care, and urology
• Open ICU
• 7 days on/7 days off schedule; 7am 7pm
• No Call
• Average of 10-20 inpatient cases per shift
• Clinical responsibilities will include assisting with ED admissions, rounding on patients, assisting with patient/family education, having conversations with the transfer center and handling call backs
• Ability to do procedures (pic lines, central lines, etc.)

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC is a 142-bed full-service hospital with an active medical staff of more than 50 physicians representing 20+ specialties, as well as more than 600 nurses, technicians and support staff. The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency , pulmonology, orthopedics, urology, cardiology, and womens services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. ECU Health Beaufort also features the Marion L.
