Atlantic Southern is seeking a qualified Resident Agricultural Equipment Field Technician / Mechanic.

You can live in Roanoke Rapids, VA or any other city around that area.

We need an experienced Field / Road Technician to help support our customers in the Roanoak Ripids area. You will dispatch to visit customers to and from your home and support them daily. You may be asked to report to the office for training, meetings, or other events.

Reports to: Service Manager

Purpose:

Travels to the customer's location and performs basic and advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance of the customer's and/or dealer's agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities:

 Performs basic and advanced diagnostics and repairs

 Performs work in a timely manner and orderly fashion while following safety rules and regulations

 Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge

 Maintain current knowledge of AGCO and competitive products

 Maintain the condition of your field service vehicle, inventory, tools, equipment, and work area

 Complete and turn in all daily reports and forms as required in conjunction with work assignments

 Account for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

High school diploma or equivalent

 Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or min 1 year related

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment,

following outlined procedures

 Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical (CAN/IsoBus systems), and hydraulic systems

 Ability to learn and utilize diagnostic and support software (EDT, WINTEST, CAT ET)

 Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes

 Proficient oral and written communication skills

 Must be capable of passing DOT Physical

 Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
