Position Summary: The AM Host/ Support Staff position provides fast, friendly and efficient service by greeting guests, seating in rotation with a manageable flow for both servers and back of house, keeping the restaurant in an orderly fashion throughout service, providing servers with support such as rolling silverware, replenishing coffee/ beverages, stocking the restrooms, bussing and wiping down tables, and running food. The host is also responsible for answering the telephone and taking in room dining orders for guests of the hotel. This position is needed for early morning shifts to support breakfast & brunch service for the Foundry Hotel. Shifts start as early as 7am and candidates must be timely and ready for work to support service.

Candidates who are willing to cross train between banquets and lounge service will be considered for full time employment (30+ hours) after a 90 day probationary period.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests & seat in timely manner
• Answers the telephone & takes down in room dining orders
• Maintains wait list & reservations
• Handles support side work such as stocking bathrooms, sweeping, stocking, replenishing beverages and rolling silverware
• Picks up and delivers orders to appropriate guests within prescribed time limits, ensuring accuracy of the order
• Clears tables throughout service and prepares for next guests
• Assist bartenders & servers as needed
• Maintains restaurants/station in a clean and presentable manner at all times
• Complies with all health and safety regulations

Experience and Education:

Prior experience as server, busser, runner, host(ess) preferred

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
