Azure Platform Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Platform Architect for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC(Remote). The candidate must have deep expertise in leading Azure migration strategy and execution across complex workloads.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure Platform Architect job responsibilities include:

• Lead end‑to‑end Azure migration discovery by building application inventories and capturing workload criticality, SLAs, and environment details.

• Drive migration assessments covering dependency mapping, sizing, constraints, readiness analysis, and identification of potential blockers.

• Define tailored migration strategies (rehost, re‑platform, refactor, retire, retain) while outlining associated risks and effort assumptions.

• Develop wave‑based migration sequencing plans that factor in dependencies, business timelines, and cutover complexity.

• Oversee documentation quality by producing assessment outputs, target migration approaches, and dependency diagrams.

• Establish a migration‑factory operating model including intake, assessment, wave planning, cutover management, and reporting cadence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Azure architecture and large‑scale cloud migrations.

• Demonstrated expertise in Azure migration tools such as Azure Migrate, ASR, DMS, and platform‑wide optimization.

• Proven ability to design landing zones, apply Azure governance frameworks, and guide cross‑functional teams through migration execution.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
