Parts Counter Personnel for our Midland/Charlotte, NC location
Please note: The candidate hired must be able to travel, as they will be required to train at various branch locations. Must have their own transportation and be able to stay overnight for training when needed.
Schedule: Full time
Atlantic & Southern Equipment, LLC is a full-service Link-Belt crane, Manitex and Magni distributor for the Southeast area as well as Cummins engine parts dealer.
We have an opening for a Parts counter salesperson position in the Charlotte, NC area. We have been in operation since 2001. Our focus on customer service continues to be the reward for our success, resulting in numerous expansions of our company over the past years. As we prepare for the future, we recognize that we must continue to be diligent in our efforts to obtain and develop qualified employees. We are dedicated to developing a trusting and lasting relationship with our valuable customer base.
Purpose and Scope:
To deliver high-quality customer care via telephone, email, and over-the-counter sales. Working
with multiple departments within the company to provide parts sales and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Courteously and quickly greet all walk-in and call-in customers.
· Answering emails from customers in a timely and professional manner
· Assist customers in a consultative manner to provide the best parts solution for their needs by assisting in identifying and pricing parts.
· Inputting parts orders in our company’s operating system
· Placing parts orders with vendors and being able to communicate any customer concerns to the vendors about the order.
· Tracking orders that have been processed with the vendor, track backorders and update the customer with the status of the order.
· Coding and processing vendor invoices and credit memos
· Receiving and processing parts inventory from vendors
· Maintaining parts warehouse, keeping the area neat and clean and stock in the proper location
· Pulling, packing, and shipping parts orders to customer from location stock
· Inventory management of location’s stock, counting and reordering as needed.
· Being able to operate a forklift to unload stock or willing to learn to operate a forklift.
· Any other duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
· Organized and able to complete job duties in a professional and timely manner.
· Customer service skills
· Computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook and Teams)
· Ability to multi-task and a willingness to be flexible and adaptive to change.
· Ability to resolve customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
· Bi-lingual experience is a plus
Education/Training Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent/preferred
· Prior heavy equipment parts counter background and/or knowledge, at least 2+ years of experience preferred.
· Prior customer service experience, at least 2+ years of experience preferred.
