Reepsville Baptist Church is looking for a full-time Pastor to lead our church. We’re a traditional Southern Baptist Church in Vale, NC, with a rich history of serving the community for over a hundred years. Our Sunday Morning service attracts about 150 attendees, and we’re excited to find a Pastor who can help us glorify God, share the Gospel, and disciple believers.

Purpose :
The Pastor will be our spiritual leader, responsible for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching Biblical scripture, and providing pastoral care. His leadership and teachings should be guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted in sound doctrine. The congregation will elect the Pastor for an indefinite term, following our church’s Constitution and By-Laws.

Duties :
The Pastor’s responsibilities include:

~Preaching the gospel and leading engaging, biblically-based worship services using the King James Version.
~Coordinating weekly worship services, baptisms, and fifth Sunday communion.
~Performing weddings, funerals, and memorial services upon request.
~Being active in the denominational life of our Association, State, and Southern Baptist Conventions.
~Overseeing the church’s welfare (1 Peter 5:1-4).
~Being an ex-officio member of all organizations, committees, groups, and teams.
~Calling special meetings of deacons, trustees, or committees when needed.
~Conducting religious services on special occasions and administering the ordinances.
~Ministering to church members, shut-ins, and the community.
~Managing the pulpit ministry and arranging for pulpit supply when absent.
~Serving as moderator of the church’s business meetings.

Qualifications:
~Educational background: Adequate education and/or experience.
~Calling: Called of God to the gospel ministry.
~Ordination: Ordained as a minister of the gospel.
~Biblical qualifications: Meets the qualifications in (1 Timothy 3:1-7).
~Missionary spirit: Seeks to lead the church in fulfilling the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:19-20).
~Godly lifestyle: Exercises the lifestyle of a Godly overseer (Titus 1:7-9).
