Senior Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with exposure to a fast-paced, private equity-backed organization. The position is primarily on-site (4 days per week) with flexibility for occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and post cash activities to the general ledger.
• Manage fixed asset processes, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation entries, and record maintenance.
• Record new debt obligations and related month-end adjusting entries.
• Support audit requests by preparing reconciliations and providing documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal financial reporting.
• Analyze income statements to identify trends and variances.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
• Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and FP&A tools is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• High energy, curiosity, and initiative—comfortable in a dynamic environment.
