Certified Dental Assistant

Part-Time with Full-Time Opportunity

Porters Neck Dentistry is a single-location, fee-for-service private practice focused on teamwork, exceptional patient experiences, and comprehensive dental care. We are growing and looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Certified Dental Assistant who enjoys being part of a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

This position offers flexibility, cross-training opportunities, and the ability to grow into a full-time role.

Schedule Options

Clinical Assisting:

• Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Optional Additional Day:

• Mondays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (assisting at the front desk)
• Part-Time: 2 days per week
• Full-Time: 3 days per week

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $22–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Part-Time Benefits:

• Dental benefits for immediate family

Full-Time Benefits (3 days/week):

• 401(k) with employer match after one year
• 20 days PTO

Key Responsibilitie s

Clinical Duties

• Assist the doctor with all clinical procedures
• Support surgical and sedation procedures (training provided)
• Prepare and break down operatories
• Take impressions
• Assist with digital scanners
• Fabricate temporaries
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment

Administrative Support (Cross-Training)

• Answer phones professionally
• Verify insurance
• Complete clerical tasks
• Discuss treatment plans with patients
• Support front desk operations as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (required)
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures
• Strong communication skills with patients and team members
• Willingness to learn and contribute throughout the office
• Experience with Eaglesoft preferred
• Experience with crown & bridge, temporaries, and digital scanners is a plus
