Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population with dysrhythmia monitoring and management
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating between all health system campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• PCU experience with 1:5 patient ratios required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
• Experience titrating drips required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a facility-required Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
• Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• The EKG exam is required of all RNs regardless of specialty — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Scheduling flexibility is expected
