Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Raleigh, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. You will deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and detailed reporting, while living Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, people first, teamwork driven, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the building, parking areas, drive-through lanes and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe for policy violations, and verify authorization for employees, vendors and visitors as required by post orders.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, robberies and/or other critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed reports, incident documentation and shift logs, and communicate observations and follow-up actions to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Have an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Pepper Spray Certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
