Job Summary
This full-time on-site Shift Manager role is based in Mocksville, NC. The Shift Manager will oversee the daily operations of manufacturing shifts, ensuring production goals are achieved efficiently and safely. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and train team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage staffing and daily production activities
- Monitor compliance with safety standards, PPE, and company policies
- Oversee product quality and ensure proper sign-offs on changes
- Lead shift operations, including startups and shutdowns
- Coordinate with maintenance and process teams to resolve production issues
- Escalate operational challenges as needed
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to employees
- Support employee development through cross-training and LMS utilization
- Collaborate with Line and Slitter Leads, delegating tasks as appropriate
- Conduct disciplinary actions when required
- Partner with site leadership to prioritize daily needs and optimize performance
- Follow direction from Line Managers and support continuous improvement efforts
Job Qualifications
- Employee must have a two-year degree in business or related field or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of ADP, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel and SAP (preferred)
- Additionally, he/she must possess good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
- Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude and a Teamwork mindset is critical to success.
- Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a somewhat frequent basis.
- Technology and Basic computer skills (plus)
Work Environment
Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate-controlled year-round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.

Salary Range:
$58,000 - $77,000 a year
