Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27157 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Unit: 9 Reynolds Tower (Medical/Surgical, Telemetry)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM start)
• Hours per week: 36 guaranteed
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 – 11/22/2025)
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1470 - $1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical or Telemetry RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficient in PCA, chest tubes, tracheostomies, surgical drains, JP drains, NGT, wound care/wound vacs, ketamine drips, heparin, and cardiac drips
• Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing preferred
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations, including multi-trauma, TBI, post-surgical, and telemetry patients
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6, depending on acuity
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Initiate and manage IVs, wound care, and specialized drips
• Document all care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing nursing education
