Data Engineer (With Java Engineering Experience) - Remote | WFH

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Java engineering. This role will involve working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and agile environment, where you will contribute to the development of data-intensive applications and systems. You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse tech stack and make an impact on key business processes.

Skills & Expertise

5 to 8 years of experience in software development, specifically in data engineering and handling large volumes of data.
Extensive experience working with data and databases, including Oracle, Postgres (Aurora RDS), and Snowflake.
Expert-level skills in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Comfort working with large data sets and proficiency in analyzing and processing data using Python or similar technologies.
Strong expertise in Java and developing APIs and microservices.
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Udeploy.
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT tools and processes.
Experience with batch-based architecture, including tools like ControlM and Shell scripting.
Practical experience with cloud computing and software development on AWS.
A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work effectively within an Agile team.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Participate in code and design reviews, environment strategy, and building deployment pipelines.
