Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems. 2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance. 3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. 4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities. 5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders. **Job Responsibilities** Design and implement automation solutions for backend systems and batch processes to accelerate delivery and improve product stability. Own and optimize 40+ batch jobs across multiple backend platforms, ensuring high performance and fault tolerance. Architect and maintain test automation platforms and frameworks for multiple teams, driving best practices in QE. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git). Ensure proactive monitoring and observability for early incident detection and resolution. Champion Agile delivery practices, enabling continuous improvement and faster release cycles. **Required Skills** Strong Java expertise (Spring Boot) for backend automation and framework development. Hands-on experience with REST Assured, Postman, and API testing. Exposure to Spark/Scala for big data batch processing. Proficiency with BDD tools (Cucumber, Gherkin) for behavior-driven testing. Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, Git). Experience in architecting automation-heavy solutions for backend systems (not traditional UI-focused QA). Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based testing environments (preferred). 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Minimum 6 years in automation platform architecture and pipeline implementation. Passion for end-to-end quality engineering and continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Strong problem-solving skills and accountability for delivering results.
