[Priority Listing] URGENT: Class Teacher Grades 1/2, SOLA

SOLA is seeking a grades 1/2 class teacher for the 2025/26 year. The ideal candidate will have completed or be engaged in Waldorf/Spiritual-Scientific teacher training or have a 'life experience equivalency'; will have at least 2 years of previous teaching experience in a holistic, nature centered or Steiner-inspired learning environment; will have a a deep love and reverence for the natural world and a working knowledge of Rudolf Steiner's imagination of child development within the context of a living cosmos. The ideal candidate will feel inspired about forest, farm, and folkways; will recognize the learning benefits that are readily available within a vibrant nature/forest preserve and biodynamic farm; will be able to integrate this vibrancy into the daily lives of the students; and enrich the established Waldorf academic curriculum through experiences in this environment. The ideal candidate will also possess an excitement around the possibility of enlivening the traditional Waldorf Curriculum with their own Living Thinking, and orientated around the truth, beauty, and goodness of the natural world and living cosmos.

SOLA honors the sanctity of childhood and Steiner's indications around the co-evolutory processes of the human being and a Living Cosmos. Our hope is to identify a candidate who are committed to carrying the class through 6th grade.
