The Assistant Nurse Manager, RN (ANM) is a role developed to work in coordination with the Director in the Emergency Department to ensure the work is accomplished safely and effectively
Requirements:Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- BSN preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Preferred Five (5) years’ experience in Emergency Department
NECESSARY SKILLS
- Knowledge of the Emergency Department techniques and procedures.
- Knowledge of Emergency Department equipment and instruments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communications skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Computer skills including word and excel programs.
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
- Serves as leadership support for staff, physicians, and other related providers on ED-specific clinical issues.
- Collaborates with the Director on clinical and non-clinical operations related to the ED.
- Serves as the leader support for the ED when the Director is unavailable.
- Supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring staff with the direction of the Director
- Is responsible for scheduling of staff for the department
- At manager’s request assist in personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and other related activities
