TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute healthcare settings. License: Current Nursing License (NC or Compact license acceptable). Certifications: BCLS required; preferred OCN, BMTCN. Must-Have: Phlebotomy skills are mandatory. RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope. Description: This opportunity is in a classical hematology clinic focused on bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell disease, and deep vein thrombosis. The clinic does not address malignant hematology or oncology. RNs will be involved in patient care, performing phlebotomy, providing central line care, assisting with bone marrow biopsies, and administering vaccinations. RNs will also conduct EKGs, phone triage, and facilitate patient scheduling for infusions while providing patient education and case management. Chemotherapy and infusions are not administered in this setting. Preferred experience includes oncology clinic exposure. RNs will work with adults. The average daily patient census is around 70. Weekend and holiday coverage is not required. Manual differentials are performed by lab personnel, not RNs. This position emphasizes outpatient care with a focus on non-malignant hematology diagnoses. RNs should be open to floating within the facility as needed. About Cynet Health
