Customer Service Specialist - Departure Drive
Identify client needs, register them for services, update records, schedule appointments, and provide accurate program information
Support public health clinics by registering patients, scanning documents, and performing quality checks on electronic records
Provide operational support to Economic Services, including searching and updating cases in NCFAST, determining documentation needs, and scanning/indexing into OnBase
Collect and process payments for County services, including property taxes and Health & Human Services fees; balance daily cash drawer and prepare bank deposits

High school diploma or GED
One year of job-related experience (i.e. customer service, medical records, medical office)
Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Strong customer service skills and experience acting as the first point of contact in a fast-paced environment
Customer service or administrative assistant experience working in a Public Health or Social Services setting
Experience working in a Medical and/or finance setting
Experience with Health & Human Services Programs: NC FAST, OnBase, NCIR, Athena, WIC, SharePoint and Medical Records
