Job Description – Lead Data Engineer (Total experience 7–9 Years)
Location:Location: 2-3 days Hybrid from Raleigh, NC or Bay Area, CA
Note- This role requires Fulltime employee only without Sponsorship
Job Purpose
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will own the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle and provide strategic direction for enterprise data platforms. You will architect robust ETL frameworks using SSIS, Denodo, SQL Server, and Oracle, and drive enterprise-scale scheduling with Control-M. In addition to ensuring data quality, integrity, and scalability, you will establish engineering standards, mentor the data engineering team, and partner with business leaders to deliver innovative, reliable, and high-performing data solutions.
Role & Responsibilities:
· Own the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle , from data ingestion to transformation and delivery.
· Architect and oversee ETL frameworks leveraging SSIS, Denodo, SQL Server, and Oracle .
· Manage and optimize Control-M job orchestration for large-scale enterprise data pipelines.
· Establish data engineering standards, governance, and best practices for the team.
· Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Data Engineers and Sr. Data Engineers.
· Drive performance optimization, automation, and innovation within the data engineering function.
· Support strategic decision-making by ensuring reliable, high-quality data delivery.
Candidate Profile:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 8+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL development .
· Proven expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, Denodo, and Control-M .
· Strong track record of leading teams, solution design, and project delivery .
· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to drive continuous improvement in data processes and frameworks.
$120,000 - $130,000 a year
