Job Details Salary: $20 to $32 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Location: Hickory, NC 28601 Position Summary As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through your technical skills and work ethic. You will be responsible for accurate troubleshooting, vehicle inspections, and delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest technical and administrative tools. Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with every customer interaction. Assist as a secondary greeter at the Service Drive to acknowledge customers promptly. Stay current with technical publications, Service Comm, and Asist terminal operations. Deliver safe and reliable vehicle service, addressing all original concerns before recommending additional services. Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and potential sales opportunities according to factory and local area recommendations. Return vehicles clean or cleaner than when received. Participate in all factory and in-house training programs. Complete all required paperwork accurately and completely, ensuring all shop forms are attached to the repair order. Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader. Report to work on time, prepared, and dressed in a clean uniform. Why Join Us? Job Requirement:Qualifications Experience performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Proven ability to meet or exceed goals. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and strong work ethic. Positive attitude with high energy and enthusiasm. Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and exercise good judgment. Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. ASE certification or equivalent technical aptitude required.
