Power BI Performance and Support Specialist

Randstad Strategic Accounts is looking for a business professional with a knowledge and proficiency working in the banking industry. We have a role that we are looking to fill for a contract position with a top tier bank in the financial industry. salary: $40 - $55 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve enterprise BI support tickets through the CASE system, with the majority focused on Microsoft Power BI.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues including:
  • Power BI Gateway connectivity
  • Report and dataset access
  • Capacity and performance constraints
  • Database connectivity problems
  • Report design and implementation questions
  • High system capacity usage
  • Missing or misconfigured gateway drivers
  • Platform level issues impacting availability or performance
• Partner with various teams across the bank to:
  • Analyze semantic models and reporting structures
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (slow loads, high CU usage)
  • Provide best practice guidance for scalable and performant reporting solutions
• Collaborate closely:
  • Power BI Platform Team
  • Database Administrators (DBAs)
  • Microsoft Vendor Support
• Act as a technical consultant by meeting directly with users to:
  • Fully understand business and technical problems
  • Recommend and implement effective solutions
  • Coordinate across platform and vendor teams when required
