Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to include installation of equipment, when necessary, regular services, preventative maintenance and the ability to trouble shoot equipment breakdowns. Advanced mechanical knowledge of industry machinery is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing daily preventative equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of pneumatic and Hydraulics.
- Basic Electrical a bonus.
- Performing troubleshooting on mechanical issues.
- Initiating equipment repairs.
- Performing detailed machine maintenance.
- Day to day coverage of production equipment - respond to breakdowns, and production requests, quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Experience and knowledge of plumbing and welding are a plus.
- Ensures work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Maintains accurate and timely records of maintenance performed.
- Complies with all Federal, State and local laws.
- Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.
- Complete work orders and record material utilized on job.
- Assist with preventative maintenance as assigned.
- All other duties assigned

- High school diploma, GED or equivalent

- Mechanical mindset
- 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports that are understandable by the target audience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to draft clear and detailed manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
- Time management skills
- Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills.

- This position works in a manufacturing setting.
- Must be able to adapt to the noise level of a manufacturing setting, which is usually moderate to heavy.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, printer/scanner, and filing cabinets.
- The temperature will vary from hot to cold, depending on the weather.
