JOB SUMMARY
The Catering Attendant plays a key role in delivering the Taste the Love experience beyond our restaurant walls. This position supports the Catering Captain and Catering Coordinator in executing events from start to finish with precision, energy, and genuine hospitality. Catering Attendants are detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to creating exceptional guest experiences in a variety of environments.
This is a casual/as-needed position , with hours based on scheduled events (typically 5–8 hours per event).
RESPONSIBILITIES
GUEST EXPERIENCE AND HOSPITALITY
- Deliver warm, attentive, and proactive hospitality to guests, team members, and vendors
- Represent Luella’s brand with professionalism and enthusiasm at all events
- Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly and thoughtfully
- Maintain a polished and professional appearance throughout events
- Create a welcoming and memorable experience through service, presence, and attention to detail
POSITION EXECUTION
- Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown, including food buffets and beverage stations
- Support various service styles, including:
- Passing hors d’oeuvres
- Buffet and station maintenance
- Table-side food and beverage service
- Ensure accuracy of catering orders prior to leaving the restaurant
- Assist with catering deliveries and transportation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering equipment, storage areas, and vehicles
- Support dishwashing, bussing, and overall event cleanliness throughout service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with Catering Captain and team throughout events
- Work efficiently within event timelines while adapting to changing needs

QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior food and beverage or catering experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with purpose in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and adaptable mindset with a positive attitude
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of food, beer, wine, and spirits is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old in order to serve beer, wine, or liquor
- Must be 21+ to bartend or prepare craft cocktails
- Valid driver’s license required; may be asked to drive company or personal vehicles
PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and be on foot for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions
- Must be able to maintain focus and attention in a fast-paced setting
- Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
