Key Responsibilities of the RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

• Manage the care of cardiac surgery patients including post-operative recovery and monitoring
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as prescribed
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and assess patient vitals
• Perform routine procedures such as chest tube management and epidural management
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements of the RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

• Active RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience in stepdown and telemetry required
• Experience with cardiac and vascular surgery patients preferred
• Experience in CVICU is advantageous
