SR PURCHASING SPECIALIST
- Develop, initiate and communicate action plans to achieve account purchasing initiatives
- Act purchaser for all food and catering activities
- First point of support for purchasing questions
- Vendor setup and management
- Advise management on strategies to achieve purchasing compliance goals
- Develop supplier diversity initiatives and track and monitor the results
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of purchasing experience preferred, depending upon formal degree or training
- Good knowledge of food and inventory trends with a focus on operation while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff,
- P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
- Experience with cash retail operations
- Possess accurate data-entry skills, computer skills, and be detailed oriented with great organizational skills
- Knowledge of food industry and/or purchasing strongly preferred.
- Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
- Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities
- Serv Safe certified highly desirable
