Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s growing accounting team in the Charlotte, NC market. This role will focus on assisting with all day-to-day accounting operations including preparing accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP, participating in the monthly close process, and engaging in continuous process improvement efforts. This is a remote role with rare onsite requirements. Charlotte-area residency required. Key Responsibilities:Participate in month-end and year-end close and consolidations process.
Prepare and post month end journal entries.
Perform and review account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.
Ensure full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory standards.
Assist with financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that streamline accounting operations and enhance accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting strongly preferred).
2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
CPA license or CPA eligible candidate.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
A proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
