Estimator/Project Manager-Contractor

(DARI) has delivered regulated asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, and structural and non structural demolition services for commercial, institutional, government and private sector clients. We specialize in complex, compliance-driven projects requiring precision, safety, and operational discipline.
Our Raleigh, NC Division is seeking an experienced Asbestos Abatement Project Manager / Estimator to lead projects from pre bid planning to project mobilization through project completion. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional with proven experience in regulated abatement, demolition operations, and cost estimating.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, and demolition projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze construction drawings and environmental reports
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks
- Manage projects from award through closeout
- Lead field crews and subcontractors in regulated environments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, AHERA, and state regulations
- Coordinate permits, inspections, waste manifests, and disposal documentation
- Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, and job cost tracking
- Plan demolition sequencing, containment systems, and utility shutdowns
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, material science, civil, structural or construction management
- 7+ years of experience in asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, or demolition
- Direct experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, or Construction Manager in hazardous materials removal
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and AHERA regulations
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or public-sector projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong budgeting, cost control, and margin management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
