Cnc Machinist
As a CNC Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC machines, such as mills, lathes, or routers, to produce precision parts. You will be responsible for basic programming and editing of G & M code at the machine, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Your role will also include inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and troubleshooting minor issues.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Perform basic programming and editing of G & M code at the machine.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor issues with machines or programs and escalate as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Basic understanding of G & M code programming.
- Familiarity with operating multiple CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of different materials such as aluminum, steel, and plastics.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Work EnvironmentThis is a temperature-controlled, clean workspace divided into sections to suit the specific work being done. All machines are located in one area, while welding takes place in another. The environment is well-kept, and large bay doors are opened when the weather is nice. You will work a first shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
