Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator with experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. THIS IS 3RD SHIFT! The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials, maintaining accurate inventory movements, and supporting production and shipping operations. This role is essential to ensuring efficient material flow and maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials and products

Inspect forklifts daily and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation

Move materials to designated locations in production, storage, or shipping areas

Read and interpret work orders, shipping manifests, and production schedules to determine material movement needs

Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and material transactions

Perform quality and quantity checks to ensure the correct items are handled and stored properly

Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE

Assist with general warehouse duties such as organizing stock and maintaining clean, safe work areas

Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or material shortages promptly

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines

Requirements:

Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks) in a warehouse or manufacturing setting

Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and safety instructions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or operate equipment for extended periods

Basic computer or scanner experience preferred

Must follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
