TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: Phlebotomy skills are a must. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation. This clinic focuses on classical hematology, including bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell conditions, and DVTs. Malignant hematology or oncology patients will not be seen in this clinic. RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope. Skills required include performing phlebotomy, central line care, assisting with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, EKG, phone triage, scheduling patients for infusions, patient education, and case management. Nurses may work with both malignant and non-malignant hematology teams. Chemotherapy and infusions are not administered in this setting. Preferred experience includes outpatient oncology. Special procedures include bone marrow biopsies, patient assessments, and manual diffs (performed by lab personnel). Interdisciplinary support within the clinic is essential. The patient population consists of adults with benign hematology diagnoses. An average daily census of approximately 70 patients is expected. Scrubs are required and must be navy blue, but will not be provided. Candidates must remain open to floating within or near the facility per job description. References can be pending at submission.
