Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Unit: 3rd Floor – Telemetry
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule: 3 shifts/week | 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry provides safe, competent clinical nursing care in accordance with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, the RN is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in an acute care hospital setting.

Unit Overview

• Adult medical/cardiac unit (CHF, post-cath/pacemaker, COPD)
• 14-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Average 1–2 admissions per day
• Ideal for flexible, confident nurses
• Growth opportunities include charge nurse, preceptor roles, and clinical ladder advancement

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered care for patients with complex medical needs.
• Assess patient conditions, identify outcomes, and revise care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate learning tools.
• Perform point-of-care testing following established policies.
• Organize and prioritize care efficiently; utilize resources for complex situations.
• Promote patient safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care.
• Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Support professional development goals and unit-based initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and evidence-based practice.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Nursing Diploma OR
• ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Active North Carolina RN license
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing

Compensation

• Pay Range: $33.00 – $54.45 per hour (based on experience)

Shift Differentials (may be combined):

• Evening: +$3.30/hr
• Night: +$6.00/hr
• Weekend: +$10.00/hr
• Holiday: +50% of base rate
• Specialty Differential (OR, ER, ICU): +$2.00/hr

Incentives & Additional Pay Options

Relocation Incentive (2-year commitment):

• 50–250 miles: $2,500
• 251–500 miles: $5,000
• 501+ miles: $10,000

Paid-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) Option:

• Full-Time: +30% base rate
• Part-Time: +20% base rate
  (PLB includes eligibility for shift differentials and performance awards; PTO and benefits not included)

Commitment & Retention Incentives

Multiple RN incentive programs available based on role, shift, and tenure, with total incentives ranging from $15,000 to $40,000 over 3–4 years , paid in structured milestones.
