What We Are Looking For:

Let’s face it… People read text messages, more than any other medium, which is why we are the fastest growing segment in Bandwidth. We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer who will lead by example, move fast, dive deep, is not afraid of failure and proud of the code you deliver to deploy highly scalable, cloud based applications that allow customers to provision, send, receive, and track billions of messages.

What You'll Do:

• Own (along with the rest of the development team) your services, from design to testing to operations and monitoring in production.


• Identify and solve scaling problems through application development and infrastructure optimizations.


• Improve system uptime by developing and deploying applications into redundant architectures.


• Look critically at what we’re building and how we’re building it, and you’ll originate ideas and activities that advance our craft.


• Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to create solutions that deliver the power to communicate.

What You Need:

You are the right candidate if…

• You have a broad knowledge of architectural design patterns and professional experience knowing when and how best to apply them.


• You embrace a continuous learning mindset and have a proven history of leading by example through your design, your coding, and your mentoring of other developers.


• You enjoy writing code alongside a team of talented developers with experience in distributed cloud-based microservices and full stack systems in an iterative, MVP-first environment.


• You are consistently innovating while actively reducing the complexity and increasing scalability and security across the software you develop.


• You enjoy having your head in the Cloud (particularly the AWS Cloud).


• You enjoy having a mission-focus, solving complex problems at scale, and working closely with stakeholders to continually improve the customer experience and platform reliability.

Bonus Points:

It would also be really great if...

• You have expertise in Java and Spring.


• You have experience with AWS (ECS, API Gateway, S3, SQS), Messaging Brokers (Kafka, ActiveMQ) and Kubernetes.


• You have experience with relational and non-relational database systems.
