External Sanitation Technician

Shift / Pay: $20.15 hr. / 6am-2:30pm

Wednesday to Sunday or Sunday to Thursday

Internal Sanitation Technician

Shift / Pay: $22.15 hr. / 1:30pm to 10pm

Wednesday to Sunday or Sunday to Thursday

The primary purpose of the Sanitation Technician is to ensure the proper cleaning of the production area and equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper cleaning of packaging equipment, conveyors, floors, and drains.
• Ensure adherence to master sanitation and packaging equipment schedules.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Safely work with chemicals.
• Maintain records of sanitation-related activities.
• Foster and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain a professional manner when working and communicating with all company personnel.
• Identify recommendations to improve processes.
• Notify the manager when problems arise that cannot be quickly corrected.
• Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
• Perform duties in a manner that promotes efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Position Competencies:

• Understanding of and experience with cleaning requirements, equipment, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry-standard cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (includes nights/weekends/holidays).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• 1-year related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.
• Positive and dependable with the ability to participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
• Problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
• Must be self-motivated, positive, have a high degree of integrity, dependability, and participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Food Defense Principles
• Understand, speak, read, and write English.

No felonies in the past 7 years.
