Radiographic Technologist

**Job-Specific Details and Responsibilities:** The responsibilities of the Health Care Worker (HCW) encompass, but are not limited to, the following tasks: * Conduct routine diagnostic radiological procedures and services as deemed appropriate to the Task Order (TO). * Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures in accordance with the policies established by the Radiology Department. * Transmit the relevant series of images to the radiologist for interpretation in alignment with the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) protocols. * Accurately position patients for examinations and make necessary technical adjustments for the appropriate conduct of the examination. Assess and determine if any special patient preparation is required prior to the procedures. * Process digital images and submit them for analysis by the radiologists. * Document all procedures and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with MTF policies. * As instructed, perform system calibrations and execute quality control tasks in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications and MTF policies. Identify artifacts and equipment errors, and promptly notify designated government personnel of any outlying values. * Initiate repair procedures for equipment malfunctions by informing designated government personnel. Document problems in the Biomedical Repair Section and record the condition of the issue in the trouble call log book. * Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms that may directly impact the patient’s condition as a result of adverse reactions to contrast media. Notify the radiologist of any condition that necessitates immediate attention and recognize situations requiring emergency measures, specifically in circumstances where a patient requires resuscitation due to cardiac or respiratory arrest. **Work Schedule:** Services operate Monday through Sunday, encompassing 24/7 coverage with shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours, including a lunch break of 30 minutes or 1 hour. Work hours shall not exceed 80 hours biweekly. No call duty is required. **Minimum Qualifications:** * **Education:** A certificate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). *  **Experience:** A minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in the specialty area specified in the Task Order. *  **Certification:** Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the specialty identified in the Task Order*  **Life Support Certification: ** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). *  **Security Clearance:** The candidate must have the ability to pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.
