SBA Home NC is seeking a highly organized and analytical Planning Specialist to support our manufacturing operations through detailed production scheduling and strategic planning. This role is responsible for coordinating daily production plans, managing material requirements through SAP, and ensuring on-time order completion. The Planning Specialist plays a critical role in connecting long-term strategic objectives with day-to-day production execution, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules
- Create and release all production orders
- Monitor work-in-progress and material flow throughout the facility
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors to ensure adherence to schedules
- Translate strategic production objectives into actionable operational plans
- ERP & SAP System Management
- Utilize SAP to manage production planning and inventory control
- Configure and maintain SAP master data including routings, work centers, and production versions
- Ensure accurate system data to support planning precision
- Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock
- Maintain optimal stock coverage and working capital targets
- Proactively identify material constraints and escalate risks
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify long-term risks and improvement opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges
- Support smooth transition of project timelines into operational production
Requirements
Qualifications :
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field preferred
- Or 2–4 years of relevant experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong understanding of MRP and production planning principles
- Core Competencies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
