Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted schedule through Optilink
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Must have cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios
• Patient ratios: 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise mostly 1:5
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIH preferred)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Care for adult patients with focus on cardiac conditions (CHF, Acute Coronary Syndrome, arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization)
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems (COPD, pneumonia, BiPAP)
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy care
• Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred
• Nurse assistants available 24/7, RN secretary from 7 AM to 11 PM
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Subject to float to any campus if needed

This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides comprehensive cardiac and respiratory care 24/7. The facility features private rooms with remote monitoring through a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department, ensuring continuous patient surveillance. The organization maintains high standards for patient care with specialized focus on cardiac patients and advanced monitoring capabilities.
