Job Summary

Join the Cash Compliance & Controls (C3) team and help drive financial accuracy across hundreds of operations. As an Associate Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of credit card and banking transactions across Compass’s expansive footprint. This role offers a fast-paced environment, direct impact to the financial statement, and exposure to both field operations and corporate leadership.

Key Responsibilities

· Reconcile high-volume credit card and banking activities, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

· Ensure assigned balance sheet accounts are reviewed and reconciled monthly to ensure the balance is properly stated.

· Investigate recurring exceptions and trends to flag high-risk locations; collaborate with Loss Prevention on reporting.

· Prepare accurate journal entries and support month-end close.

· Process internal customer requests (audit, field, treasury and payroll) via Remedy, providing responsive, solution-oriented support.

· Create and maintain monthly and closing checklists for all operations.

· Partner with business owners to enforce compliance with financial controls and company policy.

· Identify inefficiencies and actively drive process improvements.

· Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance

· Accounting internship experience and prior customer service background

· Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines

· Quick learner who is self-motivated and able to work independently

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with associates, customers, and all levels of management

· SAP experience

· Positive, proactive attitude

· Demonstrated ability to take initiative (self-starter)
