Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 23, 2025 – December 23, 2025)
• Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (30 beds)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Previous charge RN and LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including observation, respiratory conditions, diabetes, palliative care, hospice, psychiatric observation, and post-surgical care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other nursing units and take call as needed
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
• Work every other weekend and at least 2 out of 4 holidays (Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
