The Water Mitigation Technician Helper assists lead technicians with water damage mitigation services for residential and commercial properties. This entry-level position supports emergency response, equipment setup, demolition, cleanup, and job site preparation. The Helper plays a key role in ensuring mitigation work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians with water extraction and removal

• Help set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers

• Assist with demolition of damaged materials, including drywall, carpet, and flooring

• Remove debris and dispose of materials properly

• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies

• Clean and maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas

• Help prepare job sites and ensure safety procedures are followed

• Assist with moisture checks and equipment monitoring as directed

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and vehicles

• Provide excellent customer service while on job sites

• Participate in on-call rotation when required

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing)

• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency calls

Preferred:

• Previous experience in restoration, construction, labor, or related field
