Asheville CMC Welder (2nd Shift)
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to pass eyesight acuity requirements and color vision perception test .
- Welding certification from an accredited trade school or equivalent, and/or a minimum of one year of welding experience
- Flexibility to work off shifts and travel for training as needed
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow process planning, part routers, and other quality documents
- Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity, as required
- Ability to use / apply welding and assembly techniques and inspections
- Ability to read & understand process instructions & weld schedules
- Complete required training curriculum for weld /assembly processes
- Complete all required compliance training
- Complete all EHS training and participate in safety and/or quality audits
- Cross-train on other direct labor operations as required by business need
- Ability to obtain required weld /assembly certifications for GE
- Be an active, contributing member of a high-performance self-directed work team
- Ability to use/apply TIG welding and assembly techniques and perform inspections
- Ability to read and understand process instructions and weld schedules
- Communicate effectively with Production Control and Process Engineering on needed supplies and consumables
- Drive Safety, Quality, and Production metrics within the team based on business needs
