We are seeking a Senior Certified Technician to assist the operations manager in overseeing day-to-day pharmacy operations, as well as implementing and maintaining essential services and programs. The Senior Certified Technician leads and supports the team and is invested in the pharmacy’s mission to provide quality patient care with personal attention.
A SENIOR CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN'S RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build High Performing Technician Team
- Lead, train and develop pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate company objectives and design operations to support pharmacy goals
- Exercise independent judgement to delegate, direct and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy
Pharmacy Operations
- Provide superior service to all customers
- Perform tasks required of the pharmacy technician – including filling prescriptions, billing third parties, communicating with physician offices, providing customer service, and all other related duties
- Drive pharmacy operations to flow in an efficient and effective manner
- Work with pharmacy staff to implement and maintain successful programs and services – including MedSync, prescription delivery, immunizations, adherence packaging, medication therapy management, and remote patient monitoring.
- Manage pharmacy inventory through deliberate ordering processes, ensuring sufficient on-hand balances and high inventory turnover
- Monitor drug pricing and purchasing to ensure accurate gross profit reports, find ways to reduce costs, and identify opportunities to increase revenue
- Nurture and promote company culture and values that encourage top performance and high morale
- Performs other job duties as assigned
Community Involvement
- Develop community relationships and act as a liaison with area providers and community organizations

REQUIRED EDUCATIONKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification required (CPhT)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Solid knowledge of medications (brand versus generic) and chronic disease state familiarity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong team player
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience using Microsoft Word and email
- Proficient written and spoken English
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Be honest, trustworthy and respectful
- Demonstrate sound work ethics
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.)
Duties will be performed in a demanding professional environment and the employee will stand to work at a computer screen and talk on the phone for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per day, 5 or more days per week. Availability Monday thru Friday and scheduled Saturdays with the ability to meet varied work hours depending on business needs.
- Ability to operate a computer, fax, phone, and other office machines
- Able to concentrate in a variety of environments with multiple distractions
