Furniture Sprayer

Openwork is partnered with a local company in Thomasville NC and is hiring an experienced Furniture Wood Sprayer! This position is ideal for candidates with furniture finishing, painting, or industrial spray experience who take pride in producing high-quality work. Pay & Schedule (Most Important Details)

• Pay: $16-$18 per hour (based on experience)

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM

• Full-time opportunity

What You'll Do

The Furniture Wood Sprayer is responsible for applying paints, stains, lacquers, and protective finishes to furniture while ensuring every piece meets high-quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare furniture surfaces by sanding, masking, filling imperfections, and applying primers.

• Operate spray guns and finishing equipment to apply stains, paints, lacquers, and topcoats.

• Mix paints and stains to achieve accurate colors and finishes.

• Inspect finished products and perform touch-ups as needed.

• Clean, troubleshoot, and maintain spray equipment and spray booths.

• Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production goals.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in furniture finishing, painting, or industrial spraying.

• Experience working with stains, lacquers, paints, and wood finishes.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to use hand and power tools for sanding, polishing, and repairs.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures related to paints and chemicals.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with color matching and mixing.

• Knowledge of different wood types and finishing techniques.
