CAD Specialist/Production Engineer

Summary of Position

Roomaven looks for an experienced CAD Specialist/Engineering position to join our growing team. The mechanical CAD Specialist/Production Engineer will be responsible for creating and updating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models(with computer-aided design software) to support our machinery manufacturing process. This role requires proficiency in multiple design tools and an understanding of mechanical design, construction, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments. This is a full-time position; on-site is required.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, transforming design concepts into detailed to the manufacturing facility.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Wood WOP).
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Have a knowledge of woodworking materials and an understanding of cabinetry processes.
• Meet with the client and collaborate with project managers and tradespeople to implement the design.
• Have strong planning and organization skills.
• Ensure each project and cabinetry meets customer requirements for a perfect fit.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
• Engage in ongoing training for woodworking techniques and cabinet making as needed.
• Double-check calculations and measurements and maintain a safe/clean working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in CAD software.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience.
• Strong problem-solving Skills.
• Ability to think creatively and independently.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
• A mechanical engineering background is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.

Pay Range : $65,000 annually; Salary exempt

Schedule : This position is full-time- 40 hours/week with a schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
