Carrier Procurement Representative (Temp-to-Hire)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carrier Procurement Representative to join our team. This is an entry-level, temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for individuals interested in starting a career in the logistics and transportation industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing carrier capacity, building relationships with trucking companies, and supporting the movement of freight efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and contact carriers to cover available freight shipments

• Build and maintain relationships with carrier partners

• Track and update load status to ensure on-time delivery

• Communicate with internal teams regarding load coverage and issues

• Maintain accurate records in company systems (TMS/CRM)

• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

• Previous customer service or call center experience is a plus

Preferred (Not Required)

• Interest in logistics, transportation, or supply chain

• Experience with sales, outbound calling, or relationship building

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $14–$16 per hour (based on experience)

• Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time employment after a 6-month evaluation
