Entry Level Remediation Engineer - Spring 2026

We are looking for an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our North Carolina Environmental Remediation Team.

In this position you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects in which you will learn from others and pass along your knowledge. Responsibilities may include designing, performing, or overseeing soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations, coordinating and managing fieldwork logistics, data analysis and interpretation, technical report writing, and participating in meetings with clients and regulators.
To be successful in this position you must have the ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and participate in diverse teams consisting of Jacobs colleagues across discipline and geography as well as external stakeholders and subcontractors. This is a Hybrid position where you’ll be afforded the flexibility to work from both the office as well as from home as best suited to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in environmental or a related field.
- Local (or willing to relocate) to Charlotte, North Carolina with ability to travel up to 60% - 75%
- Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and data management software.
- United States Citizenship and valid drivers license
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- 3.0 GPA
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or other closely related technical field.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain one 12 months after hire

58,656.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
90,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $90,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
